Emory will always be a part of your life. Even though you are over 50 years removed from college you can still get involved with your alma mater. Help us spread the word about all that Emory has to offer as an admissions representative or serve as a career resource for alumni.
The 50-Year Reunion inaugurated the class of 1960 into Corpus Cordis Aureum, Latin for "Golden Corps of the Heart." This is a special distinction for alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago.
On Commencement Sunday, the class was honored and inducted into the Corpus Cordis Aureum (CCA) at a ceremony at the Miller-Ward Alumni House. Everyone in attendance recieved specially commissioned medallions to keep and wear at all future Corpus Cordis Aureum activities.
On Commencement Monday, all members of CCA, including previous inductees, were invited to march during the university's Commencement procession, clad in gold robes. As the latest inductees, the group concluded the procession, bridging the gap between the earlier years and the graduating class. During the ceremony, the CCA was invited to stand and be recognized, symbolizing all Emory alumni who have graduated prior to the graduating class.
Mark your calendars to return and participate in this special ceremony next year!
