Emory LGBT Alumni and friends are invited to a special viewing of MARBL's newest exhibition "Building a Movement in the Southeast: LGBT Collections in MARBL." Randy Gue, curator of Modern Political and Historical Collections, will guide attendees through highlights of MARBL's growing LGBT collections that form an intimate portrait of the community's history, culture, politics, and public health initiatives in the American South. A Global Dilemma: Our Health and the Environment

Advances in industry and technology have made our lives safer, yet they have also created potential dangers. Health is linked to the places in which we live, the water that we drink, and the air that we breathe; therefore environmental exposures have a direct impact on our physical well-being. Emory faculty who are leaders in researching this topic will examine how environmental threats are affecting our health, their impact on our policies and healthcare system, and the ways we can strike a balance between economic growth and a healthy world.
A View from the Top: Lessons in Leadership

Hear from Emory alumni in the public and private sectors who will offer personal perspectives as leaders in today’s global economy, describe their own career paths, and offer advice on how others may meet the challenges and opportunities that successful leadership requires.
