Effective June 4, 2010, the U.S. Department of State began using a tiered fee structure created to reflect the higher processing cost of certain non-immigrant visa applications. All non petition-based visa applicants (B1/B2, F, M, and J) will pay a fee of $140. Petition-based visa applicants (H, L, O, P, Q, and R) will be charged $150. Fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens must now submit $350 and E visas for treaty-traders and treaty-investors will cost $390.
For more information on the visa fee increase, please visit the Department of State's website (http://www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2010/05/142155.htm) or view additional visa requirements and information on the website of a U.S. embassy or consulate (http://www.usembassy.gov).
