H-1B Orientation
ISSS reminds all departments that your H-1B employees, including medical residents and fellows, are required to attend orientation at our office. Orientation is held every Tuesday at 3 p.m. and Thursday at 9 a.m. in our office, Suite 130, North Decatur Building. Pre-registration is not required.
Orientation covers important information regarding the maintenance of H-1B status, allows us to check your employees' immigration documents for errors, and allows us to properly document our files with your H-1B's immigration documents and current contact information.
If your employee is new to Emory or new to H-1B status, they must attend an orientation session within two weeks of the start date on their I-797 approval notice.
