As of August 1, 2010, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) implemented a new policy regarding extensions of stay for J exchange visitors sponsored by a non-Emory entity. 11/16/10

All Updated USCIS Fees in Effect Please note that updated USCIS fees will come into effect on November 23rd, 2010. Due to processing time required by ISSS before submission of immigration paperwork ISSS will require that all checks reflect the updated USCIS fee schedule. 11/15/10

Prevailing Wage Determinations and LCAs

As most of you are aware, the Department of Labor (DOL) prevailing wage changes have created a significant backlog of determinations due to the length of time taken to get a determination and the high rate of errors and inconsistencies in the prevailing wages that have been returned by the DOL

Important Information for Departments Sponsoring Foreign Workers for Clinical Fellowships and Residency Training Programs

As most of you are probably aware from earlier notifications, recent changes in the Department of Labor processing for prevailing wage determination requests (PWD’s) and labor condition application (LCA) requests are expected to add considerable time to the processing of H-1B requests.
