New Majors Added to 17 Month OPT Extension List
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced additions to the STEM-Designated Degree Program List. Students enrolled in these programs may be eligible to pursue an additional 17 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT) if working for an employer registered with the E-Verify system.
The following majors at Emory have been added to the list of STEM-Designated Degrees Programs:
- Mathematics and Computer Science
- Physical, Mathematical, and Computational Sciences
- Physics, Applied
- Physics and Astronomy
- Psychology and Linguistics
