Apply to Attend 2012 Clinton Global Initiative University Meeting
Each year, the Clinton Global Initiative University hosts a meeting where students from across the world, national youth organizations, topic experts, and celebrities discuss solutions to pressing global issues. This year, CGI U will be held at the George Washington University (GWU).
In order attend the CGI U meeting, you must make a commitment to action. Commitments range from installing energy-efficient light bulbs on campus, to distributing life-saving water filtration kits to nomadic doctors in Africa. Since the inaugural meeting in 2008, nearly 3,000 commitments have been made. When you apply to attend the meeting, hosted by President Clinton, you pledge to attain your commitment’s goal.
Under one commitment, a group of up to four students can be named as representatives to attend the meeting. Attending CGI U offers association with an organization of international prominence and the meeting itself serves as a premier networking event for University students selected to attend.
We encourage you to apply as a group or individually to attend the CGI U annual meeting at GWU from March 30 to April 1, 2012.
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, January 17. Applications are processed on a rolling basis and space is limited. We strongly encourage you to apply now if you want to attend CGI U 2012.
If you wish to be considered to receive Trip Assistance funding to attend the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), you mustAPPLY before December 5, 2011.
