J-1 Transfers
If you are transferring to Emory University from another institution within the U.S., you must following the following procedures BEFORE quitting your current program and moving to Emory.

Confirm your invitation to Emory by obtaining an offer letter from the hosting department.

The hosting department at Emory will have submitted a request for your transfer to ISSP.

ISSS will send you a Transfer Form to complete.

Report to your current Program Sponsor that you intend to transfer.

Complete the Transfer Form and obtain the required approval signatures from your current international office.

Receive notification from ISSS that the transfer has been approved.

Following instructions from ISSS regarding check-in, orientation and receiving updated DS-2019.

Transfers are not made official until check-in and orientation are completed.
