O-1/TN Changing Employers
Foreign Nationals currently in O-1 status cannot begin in employment at Emory until an O-1 petition has been filed by Emory and approved by USCIS.
Scholars in TN status at another employer will need to have approval for TN employment at Emory prior to beginning their positions. Incoming TN scholars will have the option of leaving and applying for the TN in their home country (port of entry for Canadian Citizens/U.S. Consulate for Mexican Citizens) or having ISSS file through USCIS via an I-129 petition. Approval must be receive prior to the foreign national beginning employment.
