When can I arrive on campus?
International students may legally arrive in the United States up to 30 days prior to the start date listed on Form I-20 or DS-2019. You must, however, arrive by the start date listed on the form and attend the required International Student Orientation for your program. We encourage students to arrive on campus a few days in advance to settle in, find their way around campus, etc.

How do I get to Emory?
Full directions to Emory using public transportation are available here.
If you are driving from the airport, follow the signs to Interstate 85 North. Take I-85N to Exit 91 (Clairmont Road, Emory University). Turn right on Clairmont Road. Follow Clairmont Road to North Decatur Road. Turn right on North Decatur and follow the signs to Emory University. Additional signage will direct you to the various residence halls.

1. What if I want to ship my belongings to Emory before Orientation?
a) Emory College
Students who wish to ship items to Emory prior to their arrival may do so with any one of these major freight carriers: UPS, DHL, FedEx, and USPS. Packages should be shipped so that they do not arrive prior to August 13, 2012. Packages should have a tracking number so that students can trace the package, if necessary. Please address packages as follows:

b) Oxford College
Each student is assigned a campus mailbox (called MSC). All U.S. mail and shipped packages will be delivered to this address. You will receive your MSC number along with your housing assignment. You will have the same MSC # for your two years at Oxford. The boxes use keys to open and these keys will be distributed when you arrive on campus. Your address will be as follows:

2. I am arriving for International Student Orientation. When can I move into my dorm room?
You should plan to arrive at Emory in time to attend International Student Orientation (which begins on August 23rd). You will be able to move into your residence hall on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Please plan accordingly.

3.. I am an undergraduate coming for the first time to Emory – when should I plan to arrive?
