Employment
The primary purpose of F-1 and J-1 student status is to allow international students to pursue a full course of study in the United States. Employment in F-1 and J-1 student status is restricted in order to ensure that an international student's focus remains on his or her studies. When researching employment opportunities, consider these restrictions and consult with your International Student Advisor to ensure that any work in which you intend to engage is permitted within the parameters of your student visa status.
