Shortening the Academic Program
A student who will complete his/her program of study before the date of completion listed in item #3 on the DS-2019 must request a new DS-2019 Form from his/her International Student Advisor as soon as this information can be verified by the Academic Advisor or Dean in the student’s department.
ProcedureTo request a program shorten, you must drop off the following documents at ISSS:

A completed Shorten Program Request Form

Copies of most current DS-2019 (Page 1)
- Copy of most recent I-94
Please allow five business days for processing. Your International Student Advisor will email you when your new DS-2019 is ready to be signed and picked up.
Please Note: If sponsored by an agency other than Emory University, the student must deal directly with the sponsor regarding procedures to shorten the program, which may vary according to the specific sponsor.
