Professional Sports
Atlanta is home to a number of professional league teams across all of the major sports played in the United States. From Major League Baseball (popularly referred to as America's favorite past-time) to the National Hockey Leage, Atlanta has it all. Ticket prices vary upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, how close your seat is to the field or court, who the opponents are (big rivalries push ticket prices up) and the time of year (games around national holidays are usually busier that those at other times). If you are looking for a truly American experience then a professional sports game will provide that for you.

College Sports
In addition to professional teams, it is very common for U.S. citizens to support local college teams or college teams from their alma maters. Within Atlanta, both Georgia Tech and Georgia State are classed as Division 1 schools- which means they have teams competing in the top league for sports. Emory is a Division 3 school.
