Donations to the Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM) Women's and Children's Patient and Family Services Fund helped premature twins born at the hospital after the twins' mother was unable to breastfeed and the twins were unable to digest formula. The family's insurance would not cover purchased breast milk, and the family could not cover the cost. The fund helped the family purchase milk from a donor breast milk bank until the mother was able to feed the babies. At Emory University Hospital (EUH), the new Patient and Family Resource Center was built with gifts to the EUH Fund for Excellence. The center offers computers, charging stations, a copier, and fax machine, plus information on medical and community resources.
