Emory Psychology Professors Featured in PBS Special "The Secret Life of the Brain"

The schizophrenia research of Emory University psychology professor Elaine Walker will be featured in the third installment of the PBS special series "The Secret Life of the Brain" at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29.

The episode, "The Teenage Brain: A World of their Own," will highlight Walker's research in the area of adolescent schizophrenia. Walker, who joined Emory in 1986, specializes in the study of the precursors and neuro-developmental aspects of schizophrenia and other psychopathic diseases.

The language development research of Emory psychology associate professor Debra Mills was featured in the second episode, "The Child's Brain," which aired Jan. 22. For more information, see www.pbs.org/brain.
