Emory's Highest Student Honors Announced

Two of Emory University's most outstanding students who embody the ideals of courageous leadership and service to the Emory community and beyond are the recipients of this year's top student honors. The Marion Luther Brittain Award, the university's highest student recognition, goes to Arun Mohan, an Emory School of Medicine student and an M.D. Candidate who is working to improve access and quality of health care for all. The winner of the Lucius Lamar McMullan Award -- which includes $20,000 -- is Robbie Brown, a history and journalism major from Atlanta, who recently served as editor-in-chief of The Emory Wheel. Brown says he is donating his award to a fellow student who has founded a home in India for street children.
