Emory University’s Goizueta Business School ranks number 5 in the third annual ranking of undergraduate business programs compiled by BusinessWeek. The program is one of only three programs (including the University of Virginia and the Wharton School) to be ranked in the top five all three years.

The BusinessWeek ranking is a compilation of three components: student surveys, recruiter feedback and an academic ranking based on, among other factors, SAT score, faculty/student ratio, and placement results. Ranked number 4 last year, the program earned particularly high marks in the student survey as well as in measures of academic quality.

Andrea Hershatter, associate dean and director of the undergraduate business program, said, “In a ranking based on so many variables, it is gratifying to remain in the top echelon and we are thrilled to be listed among such well-respected and high-quality programs. As we strive to enhance the Goizueta BBA experience, we hope this continued external recognition will augment the range of opportunities available to us.”

Larry Benveniste, dean of Goizueta Business School, said, “Much praise goes to our dedicated faculty and staff, and, of course, to our outstanding and high-energy student body, for building one of the world’s finest undergraduate business programs.”

A school’s ranking is one of many important factors that students review when selecting a school. Prospective students also look at course offerings, quality of the faculty, staff and students, and geographical location.

In addition to the Undergraduate Program, Emory’s Goizueta Business School offers a Two-Year MBA Program, a One-Year MBA Program, an Evening MBA Program, two formats of the W. Cliff Oxford Executive MBA (Weekend and Modular), and a doctoral degree, together with a set of innovative non-degree Emory Executive Development programs.
