Rusty French, a retired member of Noro-Moseley Partners (NMP), a venture capital firm, was elected an alumni trustee in June 2001 and a term trustee in 2005.
Specializing in corporate and securities law, Mr. French practiced law with King & Spalding for fifteen years, negotiating a number of acquisitions, mergers, and public offerings. Joining NMP in 1985, Rusty lent his legal expertise to a management team of partners.
A 1967 graduate of Emory College, he earned his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School. As an Emory undergraduate, he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He served on Emory’s Board of Visitors from 1989 to 1993.
He has been a director of Post Properties since 1993. He is a board member of the Lovett School, the Georgia Research Alliance, Atlantic Capital Bank, and a former board member of the Georgia Tech/Emory Biomedical Engineering Department, and Matria Healthcare.
