A former partner at King & Spalding, from 1984 to 1999 John Glover served as president of Post Properties, and in 2003 he retired as vice chairman of Post Properties, a real estate investment trust that develops, owns, and manages apartment communities throughout the United States.
Mr. Glover serves as a director of Haverty Furniture Companies and of SunTrust Bank, Atlanta. Elected to the Emory Board of Trustees in 1994, he also serves as a director of Emory Healthcare and as a member of the board of councilors of The Carter Center. He is a past chair of the board of trustees of The Lovett School. He also serves on the board of counselors of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra League, of which he is a past chairman.
As an Emory undergraduate, Mr. Glover was a Stipe Scholar, earned highest honors in history, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his JD summa cum laude from the University of Georgia. In 1973 he received the bachelor of civil law degree with first-class honors from the University of Oxford.
