Javier C. Goizueta is vice president, The Coca-Cola Company, and president of the global McDonald's Division. He leads a worldwide organization that is responsible for building the strategic alliance with McDonald's in over 33,000 restaurants in over 119 countries.
Since joining the Company in September 2001, Mr. Goizueta has served as: vice president, Global Still Beverages Operations and Commercialization; vice president, Global New Business Models; and joined the Coca-Cola/McDonald’s Division in 2006 as leader of the U.S. business. Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, he spent 20 years with Procter & Gamble, including nine years in their U.S. Operations and 11 years in Latin America.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Mr. Goizueta is trilingual in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University.
Mr. Goizueta serves on the Boards of The Goizueta Foundation, Woodruff Arts Center, co-chairs The Woodruff Roundtable, Emory University Board of Trustees and Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities where he is currently chair of their multi-year Capital Campaign. He is also an advisor to the U.S. McDonald’s Hispanic Owner/Operator Association; advisor to Notre Dame University’s Institute for Latino Studies; and is a member of Atlanta Downtown Rotary Club.
