Diane W. SavageElected alumni trustee to the Board of Trustees in 2006 and as a term trustee in 2012, Diane Savage is of counsel to Cooley LLP, a national law firm. From 2000 to 2010 Ms. Savage was a lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where taught business law. In 2009 Ms. Savage and her daughter-in-law opened The Reading Bug, an independent bookstore, in San Carlos, California. Ms. Savage is a 1971 graduate of Emory College and a 1974 graduate of Georgetown University International Law Center.

Ms. Savage's practice focuses on the legal and business needs of emerging growth companies, with a primary emphasis on software and electronic commerce. She has considerable expertise in the formation and financing of such businesses, as well as in the structuring of complex licensing and commercial and strategic arrangements within the United States and internationally.

Ms. Savage was named one of the five outstanding women lawyers in Silicon Valley by California Lawyer magazine and has been recognized by Chambers USA as a leading lawyer in the area of Information Technology and Outsourcing. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte and a senior fellow with the American Leadership Forum, Silicon Valley. She is a member of the American Law Institute, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of California.
