Elected alumni trustee to the Board of Trustees in 2006, Diane Savage is of counsel to Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, a national law firm. Since 2000 Ms. Savage has been a member of the faculty of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she teaches business law. She is a coauthor of the fifth and sixth editions of Managers and the Legal Environment, a business law text used at leading business schools across the country. She is a 1971 graduate of Emory College and a 1974 graduate of Georgetown University International Law Center.
Ms. Savage's practice focuses on the legal and business needs of emerging growth companies, with a primary emphasis on software and electronic commerce. She has considerable expertise in the formation and financing of such businesses as well as in the structuring of complex licensing and commercial and strategic arrangements within the United States and internationally.
Ms. Savage was named one of the five outstanding women lawyers in Silicon Valley by California Lawyer magazine. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Episcopal Charities and a senior fellow with the American Leadership Forum, Silicon Valley. She is a member of the American Law Institute, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of California.
