William C. Warren IV is founder and president of the Good Samaritan Health Center, which provides health care to impoverished Atlantans. He previously had a private general pediatrics practice in Sandy Springs and at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, where he served as chair of the Department of Medicine in 1988.

A fifth-generation Atlantan, Warren is the son of William C. Warren III 53B and the grandson of William C. Warren Jr. 22M. After earning his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1975, he entered Emory School of Medicine. He did his postdoctoral training in general pediatrics at Emory and has done postgraduate work at Harvard University.

Warren currently serves on the board of the J. Bulow Campbell Foundation and is a trustee emeritus of the Wesleyan School. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Community Medicine at the Mercer University School of Medicine and a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta. He previously served on the Emory Medical Alumni Board.

He was elected trustee in 2002.
