Global Health
This initiative, under the strategic theme of Confronting the Human Condition and Human Experience, is an area that can connect all parts of Emory University in its mission of research, teaching, and service.
Established in September 2006 as a University-wide initiative, the Emory Global Health Institute supports Emory faculty, students, and alumni in their work to find solutions to critical global health problems. Its mission is to advance Emory University's efforts to improve health around the world.
The Emory Global Health Institute builds on Emory University's long history of highly successful global health projects and partnerships. It does this by supporting:
- Innovative research studies and programs
- Training programs for students and health professionals
- Partnerships
- Scholarship and information sharing through conferences,symposia, speakers' series, and curriculum development
