Emory's newest and longest serving head coaches earn Coach of the Year awards

In 2019, as the women's swimming and diving team captured its 10th consecutive and 12th overall NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championship and the men's tennis team brought home the program's fifth-ever national title, a pair of Eagles coaches also snagged high honors.
 
 
 
     
 
 
Jennifer McDowell: 2019 National Coach of the Year
Emory’s longest serving head coach was named 2019 USMC/AVCA Division III National Coach of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Jenny McDowell, who captured her first AVCA National Coach of the Year honor in 2008, has been recognized by the AVCA as Regional Coach of the Year on eight occasions.
 
  
Linh Nguyen: 2019 Region Coach of the Year
The Emory Eagles’ newest head coach was named NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year for 2019 after leading the men's team to three first-place performances. Linh Nguyen joined the Emory program in June 2019 after serving as director of cross country/track and field at the University of Toledo.
