Matters’ to be held Oct. 23
“Poetry Matters: Celebrating Poetry’s Place in Our Lives”
invites members of the Emory community to read their favorite poem
on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The event is sponsored by the Emory Poetry
Council and will run from noon–2 p.m. near the Cox Hall clock
tower.
The poems can be original works or pieces by other poets, and readers
are granted a maximum of two minutes to read their poems.

Staff artwork
now being accepted
Submissions for the 2002 Staff Appreciation Week Art Show are now
being accepted. A show displaying the works will be in the Campus
Life Art Gallery in the Dobbs Center during Staff Appreciation Week,Nov.
11–15.
The show is sponsored by the L.E.A.D. Team and Employee Council.
Submission deadline is Friday, Oct. 15. Please send or drop off
submissions at 425 Dobbs Center.
