EmTech Bio announces call for proposals
EmTech Biotechnology Development announced a call for its third Seed
Grant Request for Proposals. The deadline for submission is Friday,
Nov. 19, at 4 p.m.
Emphases are placed on projects with tangible commercial applications
as well as scientific merit. Permanent, full-time faculty or full-time
research staff may apply. The grant period begins on July 1, 2005,
and will continue for 12 months. Proposals should not exceed seven
pages including figures, tables and references.

Panel to explore relations with Islamic world
A town hall panel discussing relations between the Islamic world
and the United States will take place Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. in
Cox Hall. The event is titled “Americans for Informed Democracy:
Town Hall Meeting on U.S.-Islamic World Relations.”
