NetComm makes modem pool changes
Users of Emory's dial-up modem pool should know already that the phone number for the service has changed to 404-471-1318.

On June 15, Network Communications upgraded the modem-pool equipment and instituted a number of changes in the service, demand for which is declining. NetComm also reduced the number of modem lines and imposed a two-hour session limit. This limit, which includes a one-hour idle timeout and two-hour hard timeout, will be reviewed periodically to see if adjustments are necessary, according to NetComm.

Information about how to change the dialup number in individual computers is available at www.it.emory.edu/showdoc.cfm?docid=3552. For questions, call the help desk at 404-727-7777.
