'Doc' Partin timeline, All-Time Teams unveiled
As part of Homecoming Weekend, the Emory Athletics Department will unveil the Clyde “Doc” Partin Sr. Athletic Historical Timeline on Friday, Sept. 24, on the second floor of the Woodruff PE Center. Festivities for the event begin at 6 p.m.
Conceived by former athletic director Clyde “Doc” Partin, the timeline chronicles the evolution and growth of Emory Athletics from its humble beginnings almost 175 years ago to the present. The majority of the information presented in the timeline came from Partin’s book, “Athletics For All.” The creation of the timeline was done by Campus Service’s planning design and construction department.
In addition to the timeline’s debut, Emory will announce its All-Time Teams in acknowledgement of the 25th anniversary of the University Athletic Association. The announcement of the All-Time Teams will kick off a yearlong recognition for those honorees.
The evening’s events will be video streamed.
