Resource boosts research proposals

Investigators can improve the chances of success for a research proposal using a new resource. Studio Consultations can aid in the successful design and implementation of clinical and translational science research proposals.

Using this concept, a clinical investigator presents a proposal to representatives of the Atlanta Clinical & Translational Science Institute’s programs who, in turn, give the investigator their expert feedback.

These programs are Biostatistics, Epidemiology, & Research Design (BERD); Biomedical Informatics Program (BIP); and Clinical Interaction Network (CIN).

By pulling together experts from these key programs, ACTSI hopes to improve a proposal's design, implementation and analysis to maximize competitiveness.

A Studio Consultation can help researchers in any of the following areas: Biostatistics; bioinformatics; database development; project generation planning; research design; protocol planning and implementation.

To arrange for a Studio Consultation, see ACTSI “Submit a Request” form. The campus location is Woodruff Health Sciences Center Administration Building, Room 102, 1440 Clifton Rd. For more information, contact Elizabeth Pittman Thompson at 404.727.2579.
