Welcome to the Office of the Vice President and Secretary’s web site.
The creation, preservation, and transmission of knowledge—these are the special responsibilities entrusted to universities. Charged with upholding these enduring ideals, the Office of the Vice President and Secretary strives to enhance University life and effective governance through our collaborative work with the Board of Trustees, the President’s Cabinet, the University Senate, and other campus groups.
We are committed to building upon past achievements and creating a bridge into the future where new challenges and opportunities will unfold. Over the coming months, you will witness some transformations to this web site, a place where you can learn more about the role of the Board of Trustees; Emory’s plans for the future; and important issues facing universities in the 21st century.
