Focus/responsibilities at the Center
As the Associate Director of HTS and Assay Development, my primary responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out assay optimization and implementation, secondary assay development, and managing and executing HTS/HCS operations. To this end I work very closely with Blossom Sneed in the HTS facility. With Brian Revennaugh and Iestyn Lewis in the bioinformatics core, I also coordinate HTS/HCS data analysis and compound management.
I received my PhD in 2003 from the National University of Singapore in Life Sciences and Pharmacy. Before joining the Emory CBDC in 2005, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Haian Fu in the Department of Pharmacology at Emory University. As a postdoc, I was supported by a Research Fellowship awarded by the Drug Development & Pharmacogenomics Academy, within the Emory University School of Medicine.
