American Cancer Society plans rally for relay
Emory and the American Cancer Society will be hosting a rally for the Intown 2002 Relay for Life, Jan. 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Winship Ballroom.

The rally will kickoff the University’s effort to participate in the relay, which will take place April 19–20 at the Druid Hills High School track. The Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event. In 2001, more than 1.75 million volunteers—in teams of 10 or more—circled tracks around the country bringing in funds from pledges.

No financial or time commitment is required to attend the Jan. 22 rally, but information about volunteering for Emory’s team of walkers and pledging will be available. For more information, contact leadership chair Gary Hauk (404-727-6020, ghauk@emory.edu) or Jodi Gup (404-727-0673, jgup@emory.edu).
