Bobby Paul settling in as new dean:
Bobby Paul, shown here at the 2003 Emory College diploma ceremony, can remove the word “interim” from his title. On May 20, the University announced that Paul had been selected as dean of Emory College, following a nine-month nationwide search. Paul, Charles Howard Candler Professor of Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Studies, had filled the position on an interim basis since 2001. Prior to the appointment, he served as dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. His ambitious plans for the future include adding faculty, raising funds for financial aid and improving graduate education. Click here or above for the full story. Photo by Jon Rou.

Levy Faculty Awards for Excellence in Scientific Research. The Levy award was established to recognize outstanding scientific contributions by Emory faculty members. The ceremony honoring Ahmed and Fritz took place May 20 in the Rollins Room in the Rollins School of Public Health. The URC sponsors the awards. Photo by Kay Hinton.
