Emory
sends off 158th graduating class: All graduates deserve to stand out
on the day in which they receive their degrees, but Jason Moore of Fort
Myers, Fla.—a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps who wore his
dress uniform to Emory’s 158th Commencement ceremony, Monday, May
12—was perhaps just a little more distinctive. Moore, who earned
a bachelor’s degree in religion, was one of more than 3,300 students
to graduate from Emory in 2003. Meeting first as a full graduating class
on the Quadrangle for the main ceremony, graduates then scattered across
campus to their school ceremonies where they received their diplomas.
