Wagner, Sauder discuss why universities are needed
The essential roles of universities will be explored by President Jim Wagner in conversation with Emory’s vice president for communications and marketing Ron Sauder on Oct. 28.
“Destinations: Atlanta—Why We Need Universities More Than Ever” will be at the Georgian Terrace Hotel in Midtown, beginning with a networking and hors d’oeuvres reception at 6 p.m. Wagner and Sauder take the stage at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Emory Alumni Association
“Jim Wagner has a compelling vision of universities as a unique venue in which difficult dialogues can still be held because of a shared commitment to speaking carefully and listening closely,” said Sauder, who stepped into his current role in March 2006.
The event is open to all members of the Emory community and their guests.
