What Do I Do If . . .

Emory University follows CDC guidelines to support campus members who have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been recently exposed.

*What does exposed mean?

If you are exposed to COVID-19, it means that you came into “close contact” with someone infected with COVID-19 within 48 hours of their symptom onset or positive test result. A “close contact” is currently defined by the CDC as someone who was within six feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.
