encourages all to 'Celebrate Emory': Librarian
Teresa Burk takes time out to enjoy “Seamus Heaney and the
Republic of Letters,” an exhibit of Heaney materials on display
in Special Collections through April 3. Nobel laureate Heaney is
not the only thing Irish making news at Emory these days; just
in time for St. Patrick’s Day, the University announced both
the creation of a new Irish studies program and the completion
of a project that electronically links the Irish literary holdings
of Emory and Boston College. Geraldine Higgins, who will direct
Irish studies, said Emory is on its way to rivaling the premier
programs at BC and the University of Notre Dame. Photo
