City visits get students to the core of social problems
The highly popular Social Problems Class at Oxford College takes students to places they’ve rarely been: prisons, homeless shelters, the Grady hospital emergency room and on police calls. This "controlled culture shock" is designed to spark thinking about where social problems come from.
