Take Note

Next Tobacco-Free Emory focus group is April 22

Faculty and staff are encouraged to come to and voice their opinions on a tobacco-free campus at focus groups Friday, April 22.

Two focus groups, one at noon and the second at 2 p.m. , will be held by the task force studying the feasibility of implementing a tobacco-free campus policy.  Both sessions are in Room 338 of the Goizueta Business School.

The task force was created by President Jim Wagner as an exploratory effort, and as an extension of Emory's current "no smoking" policies.

Part of the task force's work includes collecting input from the Emory community through focus groups and a survey.  Faculty, staff and students have shared their feedback at a series of focus group sessions held throughout April.

To register for a focus group, email efsap@emory.edu or call 404.727.4328.

The task force is expected to share a report of focus group findings.

Faculty, staff and students can also comment on the policy on the tobaccofree.emory.edu website.
