Quilt on the Quad honors lives lost to AIDS

The largest collegiate display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in the world covered McDonough Field — and the devastation of lives lost — for World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. Presented by Emory Hillel, the 7th annual “Quilt on the Quad” featured nearly 1,500 panels.  During the five-hour event, students read the names of the nearly 3,000 people represented in the quilt panels who lost their lives to AIDS.
