Important Dates
The Fraternity House Director serves as the on-site manager for an Emory fraternity house and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the house. He/she is responsible for assisting with the development, health, and well-being of all residents residing in the house. The Fraternity House Director resides in the fraternity house, attends chapter meals and participates in the planning and implementation of chapter activities. Additional responsibilities include:
Fraternity House Directors must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at Emory University. In addition to graduate student status, ideal candidates should have experience with fraternity or sorority life, residential living, supervision of staff, student leadership, and crisis/conflict management. Knowledge of Emory University policies and procedures is helpful.
Currently, the compensation and benefits package for the Fraternity House Director position includes the following:
All Fraternity House Directors are expected to return to Emory in late July for training. Fall training for House Directors will begin August 1, 2012.
