EMORY NMR Center : STAFF

The Emory NMR Research Center houses six Solution NMR spectrometers.

All instruments are located in room 170, Atwood Hall on Emory University main campus.

Bruker AVANCE NEO 800

Commissioned in March 2023, it is equipped with a 5mm triple resonance cryoprobe with fluorine capability (TCI H&F/C/N-D) and ²H decoupling.

A cooled 24-sloted SampleCase (sample changer) with an Automatic Tuning Module (ATM) on the probe makes the instrument to run samples automatically.

The probe sensitivity (signal to noise ration):

It also equipped with a BCU I for variable temperature experiment. The temperature range is from -40 ^oC to 85 ^oC.

Bruker AVANCE III 600

This instrument equipped with a 5 mm BBFO Cryoprobe Prodigy with Z gradient. The frequency range from ¹⁵N-¹³P, ¹H and ¹⁹F.

With ATM (auto-tuning) box installed, the probe is able to be automatically tuned to observe ¹H and ¹⁹F on high band and over a frequency range that enables observation of nuclei between³¹P and ¹⁵N on low band. It also has a 24-slot auto sampler which enables the instrument automatically running day and night.

VT temperature range: -40 ^oC to 85 ^oC.

INOVA 600

The instrument is equipped with an indirect detection broadband room temperature probe with Z gradient (Variran 600 ID PFG).

VT range: 130 ^oC to -100^oC.

There are also a triple resonance probe and a 3 mm broadband probe for this instrument.

VNMRS 400

A 4-nuclei probe is installed. It is capable of running ¹H, ¹⁹F, ¹³C and ³¹P experiments without tuning.

Bruker AVANCE III 400

A BBO (Broadband without ¹⁹F) probe is installed with Z-gradient and an ATM (automatic tuning module). ¹H / ³¹P-¹⁵N are automatically tunable. A 60-slot SampleXpress is installed to enable automation.

Bruker AVANCE NEO 400

A BBFO (Broadband with ¹⁹F) i-probe with Z-gradient and ATM is installed on this instrument. It can be automatically tuned from¹H/¹⁹F to ³¹P-¹⁵N . It is also equipped a 24-slot SampleCase to run automation using Iconnmr.
