The NMR Research Center in the Chemistry Department houses eight high resolution Super Conductor-based  NMR spectrometers  (INOVA 600, UNITY 600, AVANCE 600 WB SSNMR, INOVA 400, UNITY 400, Mercury 300 and two VNMRS400) and four workstations  for fast data processing and plotting. Using local network allows researchers to transfer the NMR data to their own laboratory computers.

Multidimensional  studies of such nuclei as 19F, 31P, 183W, 29Si, 51V, 27Al, 2H and 11B are carried out principally with the VNMRS 400, UNITY 400 and  UNITY600. The instruments are capable of collecting data for any nucleus of interest at temperatures from -100 oC to 150 oC. The Mercury 300,   INOVA 400 and two new VNMRS are used principally for chemical structure elucidation. All instruments and computers are available for hands-on use by graduate students, research staff and faculty.

HRMAS, CRAMPS, CPMAS and REDOR and other solid state NMR experiments are available on Avance 600WB.

New users are required, however,  to get necessary training and / or initial authorization in order to use the facility.
