Take Note

24-hour fundraiser is April 1

Dooley is ready for Relay For Life.

Relay For Life at Emory is Friday, April 1, at 7 p.m. at McDonough Field. The fundraiser for the fight against cancer will last until 7 a.m.

The Emory community is invited to enjoy food, inflatables and entertainment courtesy of the event's sponsors.

Relay For Life is the main volunteer-driven cancer fundraising event of the American Cancer Society.

"Our event brings together Emory students, faculty, staff and the surrounding to community to spread cancer awareness, to celebrate the lives of survivors, and to remember those who lost their lives to cancer," says Rachel Nemerovski, who is co-chairing this year's event with Apoorwa Thati.

For the relay, teams take turns walking or running around a track or path to raise funds.

Participants should sign up here and use the online tools and the Boundless Fundraising application from Facebook to seek donations.

The website keeps a running tally of donations, teams and participants and lists top teams.

For more information, contact Nemerovski or Thati.
