MISSION

The MORE (Multicultural Outreach and Resources at Emory) Program, through one-on-one mentoring relationships and group activities, assists first year undergraduates adjust to campus life.

VALUES

The MORE Mentoring Program encourages familial bonds through the programming of community building activities which exposes all participants to the diverse community that Emory fosters.

 

VISION

The MORE Program empowers all participants to serve as models of unity, community building, and social advocacy.

 

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The utilization of shared knowledge, beliefs, and experience is a powerful tool in helping a new student feel comfortable in his or her new Emory environment. One person is all it takes to help a first year student connect with a community, which is crucial to succeeding both academically and socially.
 

 

The MORE Program selects self-motivated upperclass students and provides them with the tools and training necessary to mentor a first year student. New students are matched with a mentor to receive the proper counseling, guidance, and attention necessary to address all of his or her needs while keeping a much more relaxed, informal and fun platform of interaction.
