Intersections ia a unique opportunity for upper-division Emory students. The mission of Intersections is to develop student capacity for cultural humility, leadership, and collaboration by identifying tools for inclusive leadership and considering the impact of the intersection of identities. This is accomplished through the Intersections Retreat and Intersections Extended events.

The Intersections Program Schedule can be accessed here.

The Intersections Retreat is a three-day, two-night intense, immersive experience. Participants engage with a community of their peers in a variety of activities led by a group of §Leaders. Participants will have the opportunity to share their personal experiences and listen to those of others as they learn about their identities and identify opportunities to create more inclusive environments in their communities.

Intersections Extended is a series of on-campus events held throughout the academic year. Each event focuses on the intersection of two identities. Intersections Extended allows more students are able to become involved with the program and OMPS while gaining increased awareness of the intersections of identities as well as opportunities for them to create more inclusive spaces in student organizations and other areas of the Emory community. These events are planned and executed by the §Leaders.

While Intersections is presented by the Office of Multicultural Programs & Services, it was developed in collaboration with numerous offices across three divisions of the university. Intersections would not be possible without the amazing support of the contributing offices:
